My research interests mainly span the areas related to ICT, especially relating to IoT and related issues. To be specific, within IoT, I am interested in Human Mobility aspects, Semantic technologies for storing IoT data, Network Science, and Smart Cities. My aim is to build middleware solutions that enable ubiquitous/large scale computing for problems pertaining to the context of developing countries and can be easily deployed.
I am currently an "Ingenieur R and D niveau 3" at Inria Paris and is associated with the MiMove research team, which is the successor of the ARLES team. Prior to this position, I was PostDoc in the MiMove team at Inria. Prior to joining Inria, I received an engineering degree in Information Technology from Jaypee Institute of Information Technology in 2006, Masters of Science (by coursework) degree in Computer Science from University of North Carolina, Charlotte, USA in 2008 and a Ph.D. in Computer Science and Telecommunications from University of Pierre and Marie Curie, Paris, France with the lab situated at Telecom SudParis, Evry under the guidance of Prof. Monique Becker and Dr. Vincent Gauthier. My thesis title was Towards Enhancing Information Dissemination in Wireless Networks.
In the past, I have worked with Red Bull Racing Team (NASCAR team, now stopped operations), USA as a Programmer Analyst for around 5 months and with Prof. Ajai Jain at IIT Kanpur as a Senior Research Associate for more than a year. My internship list includes internships at SteelRX (now acquired by Gujarat NRE), New Delhi and Amko Software Solution Inc, USA. I have also served as a reviewer to:
  • IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology, Ad-hoc Networks, Computer Communication (COMCOM) Journal, VTC 2012 Spring Conference, VTC 2012 Fall Conference, The Computer Journal, IFIP Wireless Days Conference 2013, IEEE Communications Letters, IC3, and IEEE Wireless Communications Magazine, IEEE Internet of Things Journal, Journal of Internet Services and Applications, IEEE Transactions on Networking, IEEE Transactions on Service Computing.
  • I have achieved
I was also the PC-CoChair of:
  • Advanced and Trusted Internet of Things and Smart City Track in the 12th IEEE International Conference on Advanced and Trusted Computing (ATC 2015), Beijing, China, 10-14 August, 2015.WebSite
Other than course work I have done training at
  • "Network Science in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science", Winter School at I.I.Sc. Bangalore, India, 2nd-13th January, 2012. WebSite
